The Son of Man

I watched as thrones were put in place,
Ancient of Days was seated there;
He, clothed in garments white as snow,
And like pure wool, white was His hair.

His throne was like a fiery flame,
Its wheels a spinning, burning fire;
A fiery stream flowed from His throne,
His glory like the sun, but higher.

Before Him stood the angel host,
Ten thousand times ten thousand strong;
The court was set, judgment was made,
And pompous beasts to flames belong.

I watched the visions of the night,
Behold, One like the Son of Man;
Arising with the clouds of heav’n,
Before God’s throne He comes to stand.

To Him a kingdom was then given,
And the whole world shall bless His Day;
A glorious, everlasting reign,
Shall never end, nor pass away.

‘Tis Jesus Christ at God’s right hand,
And He shall conquer ev’ry foe;
Great honors shall His people bring,
As we His glories come to know.
